The jacket is Teflon coated with fully tapped seams and is waterproof to help protect you from the wet UK weather. It offers excellent rain protection and is breathable to stop any unwanted perspiration collecting on the inside. There is no point in being protected from the rain but sweating and becoming damp on the inside.
The tapped seems is one of the great features that we found when conducting this review of the DHB Minima S Waterproof Jacket. Unlike stitched clothing the tapped seams do not allow moisture and rain to get through the material keeping you dry.
It comes with elasticised cuffs which is an important part of modern cycle clothing as it keeps out unwanted draughts when riding in the cold. It can be easily packed in to its small carry bag and be there when it is called upon when it’s pouring down with rain.
It also has a fleeced lined collar and chin guard to give the wearer that added comfort when riding in the chilly winter the UK throws at us. The fleeced lining gives you that nice soft feeling that other jackets does not give. It is supplied with its own mesh bag so it is easily stored in a rucksack.
