Manchesters Bike Friday is held on the last Friday of every month. Next Bike Friday ride – 8.00 am on Friday 31 July 2009.
The purpose of Bike Friday is:
- to encourage commuters to use their bicycle to get to work
- to encourage employers to make it easier for their employees to cycle to work
- to make cycling visible to drivers and demonstrate that it’s a viable way to get around;
- if you haven’t cycled for a while, it’s a chance to enjoy safety in numbers and learn from others who have more experience;
- to have fun.
It is entirely law abiding and does not attempt to stop or slow down traffic.
Whether you’re new to cycling, returning to your bike after a break, or cycle every day, join us on our monthly rides (except December).
Have fun, learn from others, and raise the profile of cycling.
Rides take place on the morning of the last Friday of every month (except December). We ride at a moderate pace and have experienced ride leaders. It is entirely law-abiding – we do not try to slow down the traffic.
All welcome (bring a bike).
